ITANAGAR, Sep 13: A MoU was signed between Far East Tourism Development Pvt Ltd & North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFI) regarding the development of various tourism-related infrastructure under the North East Venture Fund arm of NEDFI.
Founder and Managing Director of Far East Tourism S.Bengia signed on behalf of the company and Paul B. Muktiah, Chairman and Managing Director, NEDFI signed on its behalf. Tamchi Tadh, Director, Far East Tourism Development, Chandra Agarwal, AGM North East Venture Fund (NEVF) and Gaurav Barick, Executive (NEVF) were present during the signing.
As per the agreement, now the Far East Tourism Development can raise and receive various rounds of funding through the North East Venture Fund arm of NEDFI for development of various tourism-related infrastructure based on the feasibility and revenue-generating viability of the projects to be proposed and carried out.
Far East Tourism Development Pvt Ltd. which is based in Naharlagun and which was incorporated in October 2018 is the first Tourism Company in the North East with a wide range of project portfolios under various segments of the Tourism industry.
The company aims to give a major boost to the Tourism sector particularly in Arunachal where it remains largely untapped by developing robust tourism infrastructure. The mission statement of the company is “To provide world-class Tourism infrastructure and services while carrying out sustainable tourism development along our establishments."
“This agreement signifies a great opportunity to develop Arunachal's tourism sector on a whole new level. I would also like to request the state Govt to support my company's endeavor by building good roads, good transport and communication, and other such basic facilities to make Arunachal a thriving tourism economy,” Managing Director of Far East Tourism S.Bengia said.
