SHILONG, Apr 13:A MoU was signed between State Department of Agriculture, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and North East Space Application Centre (NESAC) for “Space Technology Application in Agriculture” at NESAC Shillong, Meghalaya. Director Agriculture, Anong Lego and PLN Raju, Director NESAC executed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

The MoU envisage to initiate the development process of web portal, application for geo-tagging of assets created and monitoring of season based programmes funded under State Annual Development Agenda being implemented by the State Deptt. of Agriculture. Harekrishna Dutta, Director, SRSAC, Itanagar, Officers of State Dept. of Agriculture Karbom Riram, Dy. Director, Idar Nyori, ADO (Hq) besides Vikas Vijay from Wipro Ltd. and Senior Scientist from NESAC were also present on the occasion.
