ITANAGAR, Feb 19: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) and School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), Bhopal.
The MoU was signed by the Vice-Chancellor of RGU, professor Saket Kushwaha and professor N. Sridharan representing the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) for a collaborative endeavour towards furthering cooperation in research and education. It aims to develop a combined structure and synergy between the university level and professional education in an academically mutually benefitting way.
The MoU aims at providing new avenues for access, sharing and developing technical knowhow between the two organizations in the given fields.

RGU VC termed it a welcome step and expressed his optimism that the MoU will be action oriented and result yielding.

Director SPA said that a time framed and evaluation based performance will be executed jointly with the start of a planned awareness programme in the nearest future. He has also agreed to take at least two students from RGU for internship in SPA.
RGU’s Registrar in-charge, professor Tomo Riba, Controller of Examination in-charge Dr. Nani Tamang Jose, Joint Registrar (Academic & Conference) Dr. David Pertin and Assistant Professor in Design from SPA Dr. Sourabh Tewari also spoke on the importance of the joint venture in the present context.
