ITANAGAR, Oct 5: A woman and her minor daughter were rescued days after they went missing on their way to North Lakhimpur and brought back to Itanagar today by a team of Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) with the support of personnel from Women Police station and help from the Majuli administration, Assam. Both are presently under safe custody at Oju Mission and being provided medical treatment at Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS). 
The pair, Baby Tao alias Rani Region and her two years old daughter Munu Tao native of Palin, Kra-Daadi District had come to Itanagar a few days ago and thereafter while proceeding to North Lakhimpur for medical treatment were allegedly dropped by public transport bus somewhere in Dhakuakhana, North Lakhimpur. 
The duo was later traced out by Majuli Police, from Garamur area under Majuli District, Assam who brought them to the civil hospital and then alerted the APSCW.
Meanwhile, APSCW has conveyed its gratitude to Additional Superintendent of Police, (HQ), Majuli, Leena Doley and Deputy Commissioner, Deep Jyoti Talukdar for their assistance and logistic support provided to the victims during their stay at Assam. It also appreciated the assistance provided by Oju Welafre mIssion, Women Helpline, personnel from WPS during the rescue work.
