TEZU, Feb 21: Mortal remains of Subhanso Pul, the second son of former Chief Minister late Kalikho Pul was consigned to flames here at the Rock Line in traditional Mishmi rituals on Thursday last.
Besides Ojing Pul, Subhanso’s elder brother and Abaiso Pul, his younger brother, family members, friends, relatives were present to bid a tearful adieu.
Subhanso was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his apartment in UK’s Brighton on February 9 last. 20-year-old Shubanso was Pul’s second son by his first wife Dangwimsai Pul. His mortal remains was brought to Mohanbari in Assam and later by helicopter at Tezu Airfield on Wednesday. The entire process of bringing back the body from Bringhton received support from the Chief Minister’s Office. The Pul family and the Mishmi community have extended heartfelt gratitude to the CM for showing humanitarian gesture during this critical hour.
Meanwhile, local MLA Karikho Kri, MLA Hayuliang, Dasanglu Pul, family members, relatives, friends and well-wishers paid homage to the departed soul here at his private residence.
