AALO, Apr 3:The Mopin festival at Aalo got off to a colourful start after inauguration of the four day cultural extravaganza by Deputy Commissioner West Siang Swetika Sachan at Gumin Kiin on April 2 last.

The competition offers wide variety of traditional, modern, folk song, folklores, comic and anecdotes associated with our culture.

The DC lauded the CMCC Aalo for organizing the festival yearly in a splendid manner to showcase the rich age old values of Galo culture and exhorted the coming generation to take pride in their culture to get a distinct identity.

Vice President CMCC and Cultural Secretary, Kirdo Ete and Dr. Kejom Padu stressed on significance of traditional attires, folklore and its bearing on present day society.
