JAIRAMPUR, Apr 27: In the ongoing fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, local MLA Laisam Simai has taken the responsibility to protect his constituency from the onslaught of the virus and is leading from the front.
Playing this proactive role, Simai on Monday took stock of the situation by visiting the quarantine centre which is being built for the students who are scheduled to return from outside the state. He also visited the government hospitals to check the respective preparedness levels to deal with the pandemic in case someone is detected with the virus. The MLA interacted with the GBs of his constituency, assured them to help and asked them to follow the lockdown safety rules. On the sidelines of the inspection, Simai expressed satisfaction and thanked the frontline workers for their contribution to keep the region safe. He also thanked all who have contributed in their own little capacities to the Jairampur ADC and the CHC In-charge to continue the fight.
Earlier, Simai donated Rs 1 lac to the local administration and Rs 50000 to CHC Jairampur to fight the pandemic and has also helped the students stranded outside the Sub-division.
