PASIGHAT, Jul 14: Local MLA Kaling Moyong accompanied by officials today inspected the waterlogged areas of APP Colony, Banskota, ALG area, Jarkong, Assa Diagnostic Chariali and GTC here at the township.
Moyong directed the departments to take immediate steps to drain out the stagnant water to avoid breeding of mosquitoes and associated health hazards. Executing departments were instructed to make proper ground survey for construction of holistic drainage system within the township area. EE PMC was also asked to incorporate the provision of underground drainage in APP colony under Smart Road Project .
Waterlogging of these low lying areas due to continuous downpour has caused extreme inconvenience to the general public of the township. DIPRO
