Itanagar, Oct 12: Tali MLA Jikke Tako has appealed the artist community of Arunachal Pradesh to develop their artistic qualities so that the state can represent itself competitively in the national and international arenas of music, art, film, drama and acting.
Tako, while inaugurating the office of Arunachal Artistes Forum (AAF) today here at E Sector and launching its website, lauded the role of the state’s creative community and urged them to work hard for unification of all communities and tribes through the vehicles of music and all methods of creative endeavours. He also appealed them to join Team Arunachal for all-round development of state in the field of cultural tourism. Reiterating state government’s stand of promoting art & culture and reminding of the upcoming film institute also, the MLA hoped that soon there will be a flow of artists from various parts of the state who will act for preservation of age-old cultural heritage and join the national mainstream. He also assured all governmental support in this regard.
Renowned singer and founder Chairperson of AAF Taba Yall Nabam who attended the function as Guest of Honour elaborated AAP’s journey since 2004 for the development of music and giving opportunity to the younger generation. She emphasised the need of infrastructure and appealed all to extend help and coordinated support for promotion of songs, music and cultural tourism of the state besides requesting to use the office as a temple for creative works.
AAF Chairman Takam Dado Tallom also spoke on the need for support to the cause of development of culture, art and music in state and appealed the members to contribute in their own way for flourish of art and culture.
