BORDUMSA, Jun 16: MLA Bordums-Diyun AC Somlung Mossang on Tuesday distributed 368 General Household category ration cards to the beneficiaries here in presence of ADC Bordumsa Minga Sherpa, Food & Civil Supply Officer Gumrong Singpho and others.
Distribution of ration cards was a long-pending demand of the locals which was halted due to some official reasons since 2016. “Many beneficiaries who were deprived from getting the PDS items due to absence of ration cards will now be able to procure them,” the MLA said. He also added there are many more families who are yet to have such ration cards and it will be his endeavour to distribute them all in coming days. “There are some government formalities and we are working on them and as soon as they are completed the cards will be handed over,” Mossang assured.
While stating that demand for ration cards was a long-pending issue for the people of Bordumsa Circle, F & CSO informed that the distribution has been possible after intervention of the local MLA and former ADC Bordumsa Dr. Devansh Yadav.
