Raga, Mar 26: Raga MLA Tarin Dakpe has donated his two-month salary amounting to Rs 2 lakh to the Kamle District Administration for meeting up the expenses in fighting Covid-19 in the district.
Calling for concerted efforts from all stakeholders in combating the pandemic, the MLA appealed the people to restrain from all types of social gatherings. “Instead of panicking, awareness about the virus and obeying the directives of the health department in letter and spirit will help us fight against Covid-19,” he advised. Emphasising the role of religious & student leaders and village elders in mitigating the pandemic, he appealed for intensive awareness campaigns through social media accounts and WhatsApp groups. He further appealed the district’s citizens to assist the administration and the medical department in identifying people who have returned from different parts of the country. “Effective monitoring and ensuring that home quarantine is practiced in letter and spirit can prevent the spread of the virus,” he added.
Dapke also lauded the efforts of the Deputy Commissioner Hengo Basar and DRCHO Dr. Kapu Sopin who have been personally visiting the quarantine and isolation centres to ensure there are no loopholes. Dipro
