ITANAGAR, Jan 4: Capital MLA Techi Kaso today inaugurated the government primary school, Dotung Namchang, Dony Polo Colony, Itanagar in the presence of Capital Complex DDSE Mallo Yam Gollo and others.
Congratulating the people of Dotung Namchang, Kaso advised the locals to send their children to school and also cooperate with the teaching fraternity.
Responding to a memorandum for construction of village link road, Kaso said that he is financially helping in earth cutting of link road measuring around 2 Kilometre as per request of villagers. He said that the link road formation cutting is almost complete and assured to keep the road his first priority. He also announced Rs. 6 lakhs for construction of hanging bridge over the Sapar Nallah.
Informing that fund has been allotted for providing water supply to the village, the MLA also assured to take up other issues in phased manner in the greater interest of the people living in the area.
Responding to the request of villagers, DDSE Yam Gollo informed that the school is in zero enrolment list but she assured to appoint two teachers to start academic session from this year while urging villagers to send their children to school.
A local Techi Maha said the village was established in 2004 but till date lacks proper road connection, water supply and electricity supply.
Due to lack of school, we are facing lots of problem. Government schools are far away from the village and we have no capacity to send our children to private schools, he added.
