NAMSAI, 23 Apr: A 15-year old boy who was reportedly missing for the last three days was found dead under mysterious circumstances some 5km away from the district headquarters in Namsai on Monday last.
The deceased has been identified as Gamling Pertin, a student of Class XI. Earlier, on April 20, the parents of the deceased had lodged a missing complaint at Namsai police station.
According to security official, a passers-by saw a body hanging by a thin rope from a tree trunk in the isolated area of Jengthu village under Namsai district and alerted the police.
“Investigation is on and a case has been registered at police station Namsai and we are waiting for the autopsy report to know the exact reason behind the death,” informed the police.
