NEW DELHI, Oct 4: Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) today participated in a meeting of the Sub-Group of Governors with the Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel in the run-up to the ensuing Conference of Governors here at the national capital.
The Governors while sharing their experiences and initiatives under various heads namely Swachh Bharat, Shrestha Bharat, Sushashit Bharat, Surakshit Bharat, Vikasit Bharat, Swasth Bharat and Shikshit Bharat, also discussed the needs for good education practices in their respective states. Mishra briefed the Sub-Group regarding the initiatives taken by him in Arunachal in the field of education and spoke about the efforts taken in respect of cleanliness, conservation of water & electricity, afforestation, cultural exchange, promotion of local handicrafts, digitisation, restoration of peace in Tirap Longding and Changlang districts, economy, primary & secondary health, higher education rankings etc
