ITANAGAR, May 31:   Unknown miscreants set ablaze a car and killed a dog in front of the private residence of MP Lok Sabha (East) Tapir Gao this morning at around 6 am.
Speaking to media, Superintendent of Police, Capital Complex, Tumme Amo informed that a police team rushed to the spot as soon as they received the information.  ‘We have registered a case against the miscreants and investigation is on to nab the culprits,' he said.
The SP informed that Gao who is also the President of State BJP was not present  in the house  during the incident but his  wife and family members were inside.
 As per the CCTV footage released by the family members miscreants in two vehicles came in front of the gate, killed a dog and burnt down the other vehicle brought by them and fled from the scene.
Meanwhile,  Adi Baane Kebang Youth Wing  has submitted a  representation to the Chief Secretary  condemning the incident and urged the authorities to nab the culprits involved in the incident. Arunachal Pradesh BJP has strongly condemned the incident which took place in front of the residence of its State President, Tapir Gao at Niti Vihar today. 
In a press release issued today, the party has appealed the administration to take stringent action against those who were involved in this criminal act and give exemplary punishment under the relevant provisions of law.
In a civilised society, there is no room for such lumpen elements and the authority should not let a few criminals to disturb peace and tranquility, the release said. Giving a message to its detractors, the party said that these kinds of barbaric activities against BJP and its workers will not dent the party’s popularity and goodwill in the state, which has come to power with people’s mandate. It has also appealed all its workers in the state to maintain peace and dignity under any circumstances. 
The Nino Welfare Society (NWS) has also strongly condemned the barbaric and heinous act  by some unknown miscreants on Friday morning.
“We strongly demand the state government to arrest the culprits and give exemplary punishment under appropriate provision of law. Such heinous act deserves to be condemned by all sections of society, irrespective of cast, creed and tribe,” it appealed.
