TAWANG, Apr 5: General Observer for Tawang district Vijayendra Kumar, IAS conducted a meeting today with all the Micro Observers appointed for the forthcoming 2019 elections here at DC conference hall. Around 39 Micro Observers from various central government organisations attended the meeting where the GO briefed them about their roles and duties they would perform on the poll day in polling stations. Besides asking them to take training on handling of EVMs, he also asked them to go through the handbooks and guidelines for ensuring fair and error free polling. The GO further advised them to take adequate clothes for protection from cold and unpredictable weather of Tawang.
Speaking on the occasion DC cum DEO Tawang Sang Phuntsok said that since these observers will be deployed in micro level they should supervise and monitor the works of polling teams at polling stations and report it to the General Observer. The Micro Observers are eyes and ears of the GO, he added.
They were also given hands-on training of EVM handling by the DLMTs Tashi Wangchu Thongdok and M.K.Das. DIPRO
