AALO, May 3:West Siang district has recorded 96% coverage with administering of polio dozes to 10,145 children through 265 polio booths.

This was informed when the District Task Force reviewed the implementation of Mission Indradhanush programme in its 1st, 2nd and 3rd phases launched so far in the district in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner West Siang Gamli Padu on May 2 last.

Reviewing block wise performances of MI in the first, second and third round, the DC stressed on indentifying the pockets where the turn out percentage is low and places do be reached to intensify it further in the final round of immunization. He stressed on submitting Utilization Certificates for fund already earmarked to respective Medical officers by May 15 next for onward submission to government to avoid delay in getting budgetary grant for the district. Taking note of absentee doctors on such important review meeting, the DC stressed on serving notices to all doctors.
The District Medical Officer, Dr. Marbom Basar exhorted the doctors to tie up with officials of the line departments to make the programme a success in the final phase of the immunization programme.
