ITANAGAR, Apr 12:

 

               Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein convened an urgent meeting to discuss the issues pertaining to execution of Four Lane Highway 415 from Chandranagar to Itanagar in his office this evening.

 

               DCM said that the approval for the four lane highway from Itanagar to Bandardewa has been obtained after a long persuasion and effort by the state government and he strongly felt that the highway should be constructed at any cost.

 

               He called upon the people of the twin capital city and all the stakeholders to cooperate with the district administration and the execution agency for the smooth construction of the road as it would ease the traffic congestion in the capital complex after completion. He further said that the road will benefit each and every individual of the state and appeal to the people to keep the state’s interest above the individual interest.

 

               Bamang Felix, Minister of PHE & WS and IPR & P, Techi Kaso, Parliamentary Secretary for UD&H, Town Planning, Municipal Affairs and PWD, DC(Capital), Prince Dhawan, Chief Engineer (Highway), T Basar and EE(Highway), Nani Tath were present in the meeting.

 

               Deputy Chief Minister will also convene another meeting of the Councillors of Itanagar Municipal Corporation on Thursday on matters related to the Four Lane Highway from Chandranagar to Banderdewa.
