NAMSAI, May 10:Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary Chow Zingnu Mein visited the ongoing twenty days Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh officer training camp (OTC) being held at Khunlai School in Manmaw village and interacted with the functionaries and trainees.
While interacting with RSS Prant Pramukh (State Organising Secretary) Sunil Mohanty and RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sha-Sampark Pramukh (All India Assistant Public Relations Incharge) Arun Kumar, Mein informed them about the richness of the Tai Khamti script and literature. Mein called for joint efforts to promote the indigenous culture and Pali language which is the foundation of the many manuscripts available with the community.
Kumar proposed for digitization of manuscripts while appreciating the organic initiative of the state government.
The OTC which commenced on May 1 has about 56 trainees and 10 teachers with many expert resource persons imparting knowledge on national and international topics including Yoga, martial arts etc.
