Palin, Dec 20: A day-long mega health camp was organised at District Hospital, Jorung conducted by Kra Daadi District Health Society (DHS) under Mukhiya Mantri Rogi Kalyan Kosh which was formally opened by MLA 18 Palin AC Balo Raja.

Deputy Commissioner S. Miji, DMO Higio Tam, Dr. Toko Laxmi (Balo) and five specialist doctors along with all Head of Offices, public leaders and others were present on the occasion. MLA appreciated the DHS for conducting the successful first ever mega health camp in the district and appealed all people present in the camp to take advantage of the specialist doctors, also assuring to give support for further development of health sector in the district along with up-gradation of the District Hospital. DC who is also the Chairman, District Health Society (DHS) was the Guest of Honour and appreciated all DHS members for conducting the camp and sought cooperation from both the medical fraternity and public for improving the district’s health scenario. Dr. Toko Laxmi(Balo) while speaking as a Special Guest emphasized on all-round approach of an individual towards maintaining good health. DMO informed that the camp has benefited more than 2000 patients and more of such camps will be organized in various circles of the district in near future. MO Dr. Gimi Tang expressed gratitude to the specialist doctors coming from District Hospital, Ziro for rendering their services.

Later in the afternoon, MLA also attended the District Planning Committee programme for scrutinizing and approval of Gram Panchayat Development Plan of the district with all district level planning committee members. DIPRO
