BOMDILA, Jun 6 : Complying with the National Green Tribunal (NGT) orders, a crucial meeting on implementation of Solid Waste and Plastic Waste Management Rules 2016 in urban areas of Bomdila and Dirang of West Kameng district was held here on Tuesday last.
UD&H Bomdila Takar Tachang highlighted the aims and objectives of the meeting and called for strict implementation of the directives in the said areas. Various resolutions were also adopted in accordance with NGT directives.
DC in-charge P Monpa while advocating for complete ban on use of plastic bags and other related products, appealed people to voluntarily associate themselves in this noble cause so as to keep homes and surroundings clean.
Among others, ADC in-charge Dirang Tenzin Jambey CO, bazaar secretaries, business communities of both Bomdila & Dirang and officers of Urban Development & Housing department attended the meeting. DIPRO
