Khonsa, May 30: A District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) meeting was held today at Late Kamlesh Joshi Conference Hall at DC’s office here under the chairmanship of ADC, Khonsa Jalash Pertin.
ADC appealed the health department to keep the hospital surroundings sanitary, adding that burning of bottles, plastic gloves and disposal syringes etc, should be banned completely in order to avoid pollution in and around the town. He also suggested all lines departments such as health, education, PRIs and ICDS department to educate/motivate the people not to litter and throw pan/gutka etc.The ADC also informed that immunization registration card of children will be mandatory to issue birth certificate and further assured to give full cooperation from the administration to save precious lives of children.
Earlier DRCHO Dr. N. Angu highlighted at length about the micro plans for immunization program to be carried out in the district through Power Point Presentation especially focussing on Rota virus. Representative from IPR department UDC Gawang Sumpa said that church leaders can also play vital role to make parents aware about their children immunization.
