Itanagar, Oct 18: A review meeting on the functioning of Arunachal State Urban Livelihoods Mission (SULM) namely Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and National Urban Livelihoods Mission was conducted today here at the Papum Conference Hall of Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre.
Joint Secretary I/c, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Government of India, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA), Sanjay Kumar,accompanied by National Mission Manager (NULM), MOHUA, Ravi Solonki conducted the meeting which was also attended by Secretary (UD), GoAP S.K. Jain, Chief Engineer (UD), Taring Darang, Joint Director-cum-Mission Director, Ar.SULM, Nixon Lego, other senior officers and Mission Managers. State Mission Director gave a presentation on the functioning of DAY-NULM in the state and various issues were discussed which primarily included change in the pattern of obtaining budgetary support as well as concurrence for the fund released by central government under the mission programme. Joint Secretary opined that as the fund is released solely against the mission programme, obtaining budgetary support and concurrence at stategovernment level may be expedited for early execution process. On demand for separate fund for recruitment in City Mission Management(CMMU), Joint Secretary advised to explore possibilities for recruitment of CMMU from the fund provided for State Mission Managers (SMM) at the State Level as there is no specified provision for CMM. For getting better result from various mission mode programmes of Gol, it was also discussed to explore for convergence of DAY-NULM, PMAY and SBM. Keeping in view that process of uploading data into the portal of DAY-NULM was not satisfactory, it was decided to engage manpower available within the divisional offices other than the Community Organizer for data entry tasks. Further, to strengthen MIS, it was decided that a training programme will be conducted at Pasighat wherein trainers will be deputed from Ministry of HUA, Gol. Joint Secretary urged the Mission Director to upload the data into the portal of DAY-NULM within a period of 15 days. Accordingly, the Mission Director gave the assurance to have the task carried out within the scheduled time frame.
The visiting Joint Secretary, accompanied by Chief Engineer, Mission Director and others officials visited the Sale Counter of NULM Beneficiaries atAkashdeep, Vendors’ Market atGanga, STP Training Centre, Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic Institute & Lower Vivek Vihar and opened the ALF Office at Donyi Polo Vidya Bhawan Road at capital.
