In-charge Deputy Commissioner, Papumpare Tabang Bodung held a meeting with Under Secretary Agriculture, Coop. and Family Welfare, New Delhi cum Nodal Officer, Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan, Sanjay Srivastava in connection with ongoing celebration of “Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan”.

 

In his address, Srivastava has asked the HoDs to submit a summary report to the Nodal Officer within 2 days and directed them to prepare action plan regarding target, programme already implemented, to be implemented and the schemes going on in the district.

It was also decided in the meeting to visit all selected 14 villages in phase wise manner for which the implementing HoDs will accompany the Nodal Officer to get first hand information of the progress of the campaign.

I/C, Deputy Commissioner, Bodung informed that objective of the Abhiyaan is to promote social harmony, reach out to poor rural households, focus on double farming income, enhance livelihood opportunities.

 

Bodung asked HoDs to educate the people in availing the poverty alleviation schemes to the poorest of the poor in the rural areas of Papum Pare district.
