Roing, Jul 15: The first meeting of the District Level Task Force under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme for 2019-20 was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom. Present during the meeting were DD(ICDS) G. D. Perying, Members of the DTF, CDPOs, representatives from NGOs and private schools and officials of the WCD department.
The department presented the activities conducted under BBBP in 2018-19 and the centrally approved District Action Plan for 2019-2020.
Deputy Commissioner requested all present to contribute/ give inputs of effective and relevant programmes and events that can be conducted under BBBP for the message to truly reach the masses. She also directed the department to prepare an event calendar of the activities to be conducted, for the effective implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme in Lower Dibang Valley district.
