KHONSA, May 22:A District Level Coordination meeting of HoDs in connection with nomination of a cleanest village and a district for awarding Chief Minister’s Award on the occasion of Statehood Day, 2019  was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon today.

While addressing the gathering, the DC said that bagging the cash award is secondary but focus must be in inculcating habit of cleanliness by every individual.  He appealed the villagers living in rural areas of Tirap District  to avoid using plastic and polythene bags for its environmental and health hazards.

The DC further instructed Nodal Officer EE(PHE&WS) and all the concerned administrative officers to submit their recommendations.
