PASIGHAT, Jun 28: Chairing the District level coordination meeting for the implementation of the Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksa Yojana (CMSSY) in East Siang, DC Tamiyo Tatak, in presence of local MLA & Parliamentary Secretary, Disaster Management, Kaling Moyong , DDSE J. Yirang among other members, stressed for need based plan proposals based on priority requirements of the schools of the district.
We must set to achieve the objective of CMSSY in upgrading and maintenance of infrastructure and other requirements in Government Schools. State Government has launched the scheme for decentralized planning of resources at district level for targeted delivery for holistic and quality improvement of education, Tatak said exhorting to prioritize proposals as per immediate and actual requirements of schools.
After thorough discussion of priority issues, the District Level Executive Committee members, adopted for giving priority on internal wiring works for all Upper Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools of the district particularly in view of the introduction of Smart Classrooms in the Government Schools. The other priority proposals focused on Water Supply and Toilets and critical renovation matters and other issues for holistic development of Schools. The DLEC also decided on prioritization of requirements as per availability of Fund.
During the meeting, Tatak also called for optimum and judicious utilization of fund allocated for the district, so that the CMSSY is implemented in true spirit to see visible changes in the priority sector of education as envisaged by the State Govt. too to promote quality education.
Moyong, also gave his inputs for need based and judicious planning for improvement of school and college infrastructure and other needs for holistic development of schools. Moyong also on the occasion stressed the responsibility of all members of District Level Committee members ( DLEC ) in ensuring the successful implementation of CMYSS.
