Itanagar, Jan 29: A coordination meeting was held today at Banquet Hall with the Itanagar Traffic Wardens (ITWs) to review their work as well as to discuss modalities to better the traffic management system in the Capital Complex.
Deputy Commissioner, Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan stressed upon the traffic wardens to follow the code of conduct as issued by the district administration to ensure discipline and order. He also highlighted the importance of ITWs in facilitating traffic management in the Capital Complex.
Informing about a proposed community radio aimed to ensure better coordination amongst the ITWs, Dhawan highlighted a few points that need to be taken care of by the ITWs.
He stressed that proper leave permission is to be sought by the ITWs to ensure that the traffic system is not disturbed by their absence besides urging them to be punctual in their work and keep proper coordination amongst themselves to ensure proper traffic management.
SP Capital N Harshavardhan asked the Traffic Wardens to give their best and work responsibly. He further informed that every month one ITW would be selected as best performing and will be awarded cash prize of Rs. 1,000.This, he hoped will encourage the ITWs to work with more zeal and enthusiasm. ADC, ICC Talom Dupak also asked the ITWs to work sincerely and dedicately and report without fear if they face any kind of threat while discharging their duties. OC Traffic Itanagar N Angu briefed about the traffic deployment plan.
Later, the DC and the SP handed over trophy along with certificates to the three best performing Traffic Wardens namely Yowa Raja, Tagong Hayi and Jitu Neog on the basis of their performance. Earlier SDO Sangeeta Yirang while welcoming all urged the ITWs to work sincerely and dedicately.
During the programme, jackets were also provided to the wardens under the Arunachal Rising Campaign.DIPRO
