PANGIN,  Apr 13:A meeting to chalk out the plan for conducting Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan in Siang District from April 14 to May 5 and to discuss the details of activities to be carried out for the campaign was held at DC's conference Hall, Pangin under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh and attended by all HoDs, admin officers and PRI members of the district.
While giving out the objective for observing the campaign, the chairman directed all stakeholders to ensure 100 percent coverage of seven flagship programmes namely Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, Ujala Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana,  Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Mission Indradhanush in the identified villages of the district in the course of the campaign. The seven villages identified were Jomlo Mobuk, Rumgong, Boleng, Riga, Pangin, Rebo Pergying and Kaying. While affixing responsibilities of achieving the target in these programmes to DFSCO, EE (Electrical), PO (APEDA), Bank Managers SBI Pangin and DMO, he directed all Admin officers and other officers to take personal interest and  actively take part in the campaign in their own jurisdiction and provide all necessary support to make the campaign a success. He directed all departments to coordinate and support the nodal officers for successful implementation of the schemes.
 
Designating DPDO and PD as nodal officers, he directed them to ensure coverage of all schemes at all levels through their member secretaries and BDOs respectively and submit detailed reports on it. He also directed the admin officers to hold meetings in their respective jurisdiction.Stating that the PRI members played a very significant role in the success of any programme at the grassroot level, he directed all ZPMs of the district to conduct meetings at the village level to promote awareness about the campaign.
Responsiblities were entrusted to various departments for successful observance of events like Social Justice Day, Swacch Bharat Day, Ujjwala Diwas, National Panchayati Raj Day, Gram Swaraj Diwas, Ayushman Bharat Diwas, Farmers Welfare Day and Aajeevika Diwas as a part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan over the course of the campaign.
