DAPORIJO, Oct 16: The first consultative meeting on ‘Arunachal Rising’ campaign for Upper Subansiri was held here on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf.
Addressing the members, the DC urged all members to put forth their best efforts in disseminating information about the state and Central flagship programmes to the people at the grassroots level with the objective to make them aware of the government initiatives, policies and programmes.
While briefing about the campaign, Circle Officer Yamo Tamut informed that the two month comprehensive publicity campaign will be executed through various outreach programmes in the district and will include interactive sessions with the Chief Minister. 
For successful execution of the campaign, the members deliberated on various activities to be organized in the district and responsibilities were fixed upon members for  identification of gram preraks for each CD block, best performing Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), anganwadis and progressive farmers, identification of teachers to act as communicators of government programmes, identification of resource persons on Central and state government flagship programmes from various departments, conduct of essay competition at school and college level, holding of mass media campaign in the district headquarters.
The meeting was attended by members from various departments, namely health, education, art and culture, ICDS, agriculture, horticulture, DRDA, veterinary and various works departments.
