NAHARLAGUN, Sep 14:
 
A 3 days training of Medical Officers on Routine Immunization (RI) concluded today  which was attended by 16 Medical Officers of various health facilities of the state. In view of the Government of India target for achieving 90% full Immunization by December 2018, the aim of the training is to equip all the MOs to prepare proper and dependable microplan, orient each one on how to undertake proper vaccine & logistic calculation, organise outreach sessions (ORS), to deal effectively in case of adverse events following Immunization (AEFI), to conduct house to house survey and to analyse available data for detecting left / drop outs in the community so as to achieve the set target.
The training was formally launched by Jt DHS (FW) Dr S Bhattacharjee where he requested all the participants to be attentive and gather all knowledge and skill during the training. The trainers were Dr D Padung, state Immunization Officer (SIO), Dr Tage Taka, MO, Mejjo Bagra, Cold Chain Officer (CCO) and cold chain technicians / state Vaccine & Cold chain handler.
