ITANAGAR, Mar 18: A media workshop aimed to update and refresh media persons who would be covering the simultaneous elections of the state was conducted today in CEO’s press conference hall.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation of the representatives from both print and electronic media. The resource persons belonging to different fields spoke eloquently on various aspects of elections.
State Nodal Officer (Media Certification and Monitoring Committee) Lod Takkar explained the different clauses of MCMC through a power-point presentation. Requesting the media persons to maintain restraint while reporting on election-related issues, he further urged them to cooperate with the CEO towards smooth conduct of the ensuing elections. He also clarified the doubts and queries of the participants.
Earlier, in his welcome address, State Nodal Officer (Media) Denhang Bosai while describing elections next only to war in terms of magnitude of manpower utilization and enormity of the whole exercise, exhorted the media persons to carry out their job responsibly following the inherent ethics and common sense.
Senior journalist and editor, Arunachal Observer, Pradeep Kumar Behra spoke at length on the role of media during the simultaneous elections in state and urged all media persons to act responsibly while filing news reports on elections.
