KHONSA, Dec 17: The 3rd edition of the constituency-level Martyr Hangpan Dada Memorial Football and Volleyball Trophy for both men and women began at Nehru Stadium here on Sunday.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, ADC In-charge Hakresha Kri urged the Under-18 participants and the youths of Tirap as a whole, to abstain from drugs and other intoxicating substances and channelize their energy in a positive way. 
He appreciated the state government for renaming CM’s Trophy after Martyr Hangpan Dada. He advised the sportspersons to avail five percent job reservation in various departments, and assured all possible help to Dada’s family and children from the district administration.

Chasen Dada, wife of the martyr, who was Guest of honour on the occasion, expressed appreciation to CM Pema Khandu-led government for funding Rs. 2 crore for development of the memorial which was announced during his visit at Borduria Circle inaugural programme on December 5.

Earlier, Khonsa DSO (Sports), Noah Mongku highlighted about the 3^rd Martyr Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy.

In the first match (all girls category) Barap FC beat Khonsa Ollo Te by 2/0, in the second match Laho FC beat Moktowa FC by 6/0 while in third match Chinkoi FC beat Dadam FC - 6/1.
