ITANAGAR, Jun 4: Major Rajesh Singh has taken over as the new Principal of Sainik School, Niglok.
Major Singh has a chequered career in the Indian Army spanning 13 years during which he served with distinction in various capacities and at multiple strategic locations including NEFA (Taksing) in Arunachal Pradesh. During his posting at Taksing he was handpicked and deployed in the forward-most area to make a new post within a span of 40 days which was successfully completed and received commendation from the higher echelons of the Army.
It has been four weeks since he took charge as the Principal and is pursuing the motto of maintaining the quality of education and moulding the cadets appropriately to make them physically, mentally, emotionally & psychologically perfect to face all future challenges in life.
He also informed that there are plans for admitting girl cadets in the school from 2021 and talks are on with the state government in this regard.
