ITANAGAR, Sep 3: The main accused in Ojing Taying murder case has been arrested and charge sheet will be filed within September, said Home Minister Bamang Felix.
While speaking to the media, the Minister also disclosed that investigation in Toko Yame case is almost completed and seven accused have been identified so far and accordingly charge sheet will be filed soon.
On former MLA Ngurang Pinch case, Felix said everything has been done to crack the case including Lie Detector test has been used against at least 20 suspects. "Investigation is still going on but we believe that the case will be solved very soon," he assured.
After mounting pressure from civil society and family members the case of Late Ojing Taying a student leader, Toko Yame a student and former MLA Ngurang Pinch was handed over to the CBI. However the top investigating agency rejected the same citing them simple in nature.
Student leader Taying was brutally attacked by some miscreants at Niti Vihar in Itanagar on 10 June 2017. He succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Guwahati after nine days.
Toko Yame's body was found in a mysterious condition at the Biga waterfall,Tawang on 23 September after a scuffle broke out between students. Whereas, Former MLA Ngurang Pinch was found dead in mysterious condition on 18 Novembe 2017 last during a rafting expedition with friends.
After, the CBI refused to take-up the case since then the State’s S pecial Investigation Team (SIT) is taking-up the case.
