ITANAGAR, May 1:Commemorating the 100 year birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Takam Sanjoy flagged off the “maa tujhe salaam yatra” today being organised by the Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Itanagar.
Present on the occasion was President , APYC Jikke Tako in presence of General Secretary Indian Youth Congress, Indrani Mishra, including the rank and files of APCC, APYC, NSUI and office bearers.
The seven day yatra will culminate on May 7 next at Pasighat covering seven districts namely Papumpare, Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, West Siang, Siang, Upper Siang and East Siang.
At the flag-off, Sanjoy advised the youth team to carry forward the programme and policies of the Congress party to the grassroots level and to educate people about the designs of the BJP which is going to destabilize the very fabric of secularism of the country.
