New Delhi, Jul 7: M. Taj Mukarrum has taken over as the Director (Finance) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) with effect from July 4. Prior to this assignment, he was working as the Executive Director (Finance) in the organisation. With about thirty-five years of experience in the power sector, Mukarrum has worked in many capacities at different sites and headquarters of the Western, Southern & Northern Regions of the Maharatna power utility company and has also been functioning as a part-time Director in its four fully-owned TBCB companies.   After completing his B.Com and MBA(Finance), he started his career as an Executive Trainee (Finance) in October 1984 in NTPC Limited and joined POWERGRID in August 1991.
