Ziro, May 3: Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri Nending Chatung on Sunday took stock of the district’s preparedness regarding handling of the post lockdown relaxations.
DC opined that the situation when the state’s stranded people will be returning home needs to be handled with utmost care adhering to the guidelines issued by the MHA and informed that all preparatory works pertaining to Covid-19 Care Centres are now almost in place in the district and coordination for their proper functioning is need of the hour. “Check gates will be manned by administrative officers 24x7,” he added and directed the Nodal Officer Nima Drema, DDMO to prepare a roster for all administrative officers.
“Covid-19 Control Room will be merged with the police control room and manned by responsible officers under supervision of the SP,” he informed while underscoring its importance which will be responsible for information dissemination to all the districts that pass through Potin check gate. Other issues pertaining to installation of sprinklers with disinfectants at check gates, issuing time frames to trucks for loading and unloading of essential commodities, facilitating stranded people to move out from the district, status of quarantine facilities and SOPs issued by MHA for management of passengers entering Lower Subansiri district through Potin check gate were discussed in detail.
SP Harsh Indora, DMO Dr. Tage Kanno, Nodal Officer of Covid Care Centre Dr. Derin Likar and all administrative officers attended the meeting. DIPRO
