ZIRO, May 19: Around 400 paddy-cum-fish-culture beneficiaries of Lower Subansiri district have been distributed 8.02 lakh of fingerlings free of cost under the Departmental Schemes of Fisheries (State Plan).
The scheme will allow enhanced production of fish concurrent to the normal paddy cultivation which will result in increased income by the farmers. The distribution was made by Lower Subansiri DC Nending Chatung in presence of DVO Dr D. Lama, District Fisheries Development Officer L. Lasa and Chairman, Lower Subansiri Fish Farmers’ Cooperative Society Likha Kamin. DIPRO
