ZIRO, Oct 15: The 12 -hour dawn-to-dusk bandh called by All Lower Subansiri District Students Union passed of peacefull today. The union had called the bandh demanding immediate arrest of the official involved in the multi-crore- Trans Arunachal Highway in the district and clarification on excess payment made against land compensation to various people.
All business establishmentd, banks, schools, etc were closed including vehicles remained off the road except for few government and emergency vehicles.
Earlier District Magistrate Chukhu Takar had declared the bandh as illegal. No any major incident of violence was reported during the bandh, added an official. Newsdesk
