SEREN, Mar 1: Attending a public meeting here at 36-Nari Koyu Assembly Constituency on Saturday, Chief Minister Pema Khandu assured the people of Lower Siang district that announcement of the new district headquarters will be made soon.
Informing that a committee under the Deputy Commissioner has been constituted to study the best possible site for the headquarters taking into consideration people’s opinion, feasibility and other conditions, Chief Minister said the decision will be made finally through a cabinet sitting and the process has already been initiated. Reiterating his party’s vision of not pending developmental issues, he said Lower Siang district’s demand for a headquarter had been pending for long, but soon after his government took charge, he immediately deputed a Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police and made the district officially functional. BJP does not practice appeasement politics and tries to solve people’s issues, Chief Minister underscored, adding that his government is ready to cleanse the system which would thereby require a firm resolution from all government employees.
