Deomali, Jan 31: Minister PHE/WS and DoTCL Wangki Lowang today inaugurated a Health Wellness Centre (HWC) in presence of DC Tirap PN Thungon at Namsang village.
As a part of Ayushman Bharat, this HWC got upgraded from the status of a sub-centre which was notified in 2011.
Lowang asked the staff posted in the centre to make themselves available on maximum days for public services and revealed that in coming days the HWC will be upgraded to a Primary Health Centre. He further instructed the concerned department to immediately look into the problem of water supply and electricity of the HWC and appealed villagers to avail maximum benefits from government sponsored schemes.
DMO Dr. K. Mossang highlighted the programmes of the District Health Department and informed that the centre will have more trained nurses, medicine and equipment than the erstwhile sub-centre.
DC emphasised on proper water supply, electrification and toilet facilities in the HWC and appealed villagers to avail benefits under CMAAY and keep distance from all kinds of addictions. (DIPRO)
