Tezu, Mar 13: A meeting related to Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for the upcoming election was held at the District Secretariat Tezu under the chairmanship of Shashvat Saurabh, DEO Lohit.
Saurabh while addressing the gathering cautioned all to remain politically neutral and to avoid making any remarks or actions which may be construed as politically coloured. He suggested that everyone should read the MCC guidelines and have proper understanding of the same. He solicited the support of all the officers and officials in order to make the election process free, fair and peaceful.
Asst. Commissioner Kamaleshwar Rao, the Nodal Officer for MCC presented a powerpoint regarding important provisions of the MCC. He urged all the Head of Office and officials to adhere to the MCC strictly once the election is declared.
The meeting was attended by Tumme Amo, IPS SSP Lohit, Admin officers, All HOs and other officials.
