Tezu, Jun 17: A meeting of the District Road Safety Committee was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Lohit, Shashvat Saurabh, at Conference Hall, District Secretariat, Tezu with all the stakeholders.
The DSP and District Transport Officer,Lohit in collaboration with the PWD and NHIDCL presented a power point on the cases related to road accidents in the district.
The committee took cognition of increase in number of accident cases and fatality in the district and elaborately discussed on the various safety measure to achieve zero accident numbers in the district. 
During the meeting it was decided that district administration will organize awareness on traffic rules and road safety measure in the entire district with the vision of zero accidents.
The chair further urged all the stakeholders to join hands in achieving the vision.
