NAHARLAGUN, May 16: The Lohit district team for monitoring the prices of essential commodities and implementation of the Covid-19 lockdown SOP constituted by the District Administration on Saturday inspected the trading premises in Wakro Circle and booked 3 traders for violation of Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 and penalized 6 others for violation of the SOP. 
The team led by East Zone Deputy Controller of Legal Metrology Minte Siga, Assistant Controller C. S. Singpho and other officials with the assistance of police conducted surprise inspection of the said trading premises and booked 3 traders for selling packaged commodities without mandatory information as required under Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011 and imposed penalty on 6 traders for not wearing masks while dealing with customers. 
The traders were appealed not to sell essential commodities beyond the rates fixed by the DC and directed to follow the SOP through social distancing in shop premises, compulsory wearing of masks etc.  LM & CA PR
