Changlang, Jul 3: A Town Vending Committee meeting on the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme was conducted here on Friday by the Changlang District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) under Chairmanship of DC-cum-Chairman DUDA Changlang Dr. Devansh Yadav and attended by SP Mihin Gambo and committee members.
EE UD&H-cum-Member Secretary Er. Nich Jacob gave the details of the scheme through a PowerPoint Presentation which elaborated the special micro-credit facility framed for the street vendors adversely affected by the Covid-19 lockdown through disbursement of affordable working capital loans to resume livelihoods. Around 50 street vendors from Changlang township and Changlang Trade & Commerce Committee members attended the meeting.
DC-cum-Chairman DUDA while elaborating the details of the PM SVANidhi appealed to the local street vendors to avail the loans which provide collateral-free working capital up to Rs 10000 with interest subsidy along with eligibility of further instalments on timely repayment of the first loan. He also emphasised on adopting the digital payment method for availing the monthly cashback incentive.
Details of the DAY-NULM and PMAY(U) Credit-linked subsidy schemes were also discussed. SBI Chief Manager Tarun Gogoi, AE (UD&H) Er. Ani Pertin and JE (UD&H) Er.Tai Taba spoke on the occasion. DIPRO
