AALO, Jan 2: Allegations of blatant violation of norms has surfaced with regards to the implementation of the Chief Minister’s Adarsh Gram Yojana 2017, vis-a-vis Notification dated 16.06.2017 issued by Development Commissioner (Finance, Planning and Investment) Government of Arunachal Pradesh vide memo No FIN/ E-II/21/2017 in Kamba -Darak CD Block in West Siang district.
Earlier eleven (11) villagers from Kambu village in West Siang had petitioned the Gauhati High Court against the engagement of work force from other villages in absolute violation of the CMAGY, 2017 guidelines.
Further, BDO of Darak- Kamba Block vide letter No BDO -DRK-KMB/2019 dated August 22 , 2019 had written to the Deputy Commissioner, West Siang that he had visited the worksite along with EO(RE) and he noted that work quality were compromised.
Not only that, the said BDO gave in writing to the DC, West Siang to hold back the sanctioned amount and to constitute a monitoring team to ensure quality and quantity of CMAGY.
However as latest as the last week of December 2019, the said district authorities have sanctioned the amount without verifying facts despite negative observations made by the earlier officer, claimed the aggrieved villagers.
