ITANAGAR, Oct 6: A team of scientists from the  Arunachal Pradesh State Council of Science & Technology (APSCS&T) and the State Remote Sensing Application Centre (SRSAC) led by Department of Science and Technology, Secretary, Gaken Ete and comprising C.D. Mungyak, Director cum Member Secretary, Dr Debajit Mahanta Project Director, DBT-APSCS&T Centre of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Kimin, Dr H.K.Dutta, Director, Remote Sensing Application Centre and Tana Tage, Joint Director, Remote Sensing Cpplication Centre are participating in the 4th edition of Asia’s largest science festival, India International Science Festival which started on October 5 at Indira Gandhi Paristhan, Lucknow.
The IISF-2018 is conducted jointly by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences and Vigyan Bharati every year to mark the importance of science in the development of society.  The festival encourages participation of researchers, students and public to understand the importance of science and to inculcate the habit of scientific thinking and behaviour.
 It is a platform to create and develop collaborations amongst the research institutes and organization to showcase, transfer of innovative ideas & technologies, developed by various research institutes.
