ITANAGAR, Dec 2: Capital Police recently arrested two persons from Bihar in connection with the robbery of a liquor shop located in Niti Vihar area where the duo worked as manager and salesman.
The accused were identified as Balbant Kumar Jha and Pintu Kumar who were absconding since the incident was first reported at Itanagar PS on November 7 last. According to the complainant, the duo ran away with a cash amounting to Rs 2.31 lakh and embezzled a total of rupees 3.25 lakes from the sale proceeds. 
An Itanagar PS Case no. 296/19 was registered under Section 381/34 of IPC and the case was handed over to ASI AK Jha for investigation. During preliminary investigation, it was found from the documents provided by the complainant that the duo hails from a small village in Bihar and   police found their phones switched off.  Later, following the addresses of the duo provided by complainant, police finally reached Bihar and arrested both of them.
A police team including IO ASI AK Jha, HC NJ Rai and CT H Kumar of Itanagar PS is on its way to Itanagar along with the arrested duo after getting transit remand from ACJM Court, Benipatti in Bihar.
