ITANAGR, Apr 21:In a bid to promote the importance of reading habit in student life, a free Library Tour was conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Library Association (APLA) today at State Central Library and Rajiv Gandhi University where more than fifty students from various schools attended the tour.

Addressing the students and various library professionals, Director of Public Library, Jotton Borang lauded the initiative taken by APLA in promoting library service in the state.

Lingam Ete, District Library Officer highlighted the gathering with the various functions and services of the State Central Library, Itanagar.

Lobom Lida Tamin, General Secretary of APLA also highlighted the importance of library in the life of a student and urged them to develop reading habit.

He further urged the students to leave "one night study" culture and focus on intensive reading culture for a successful life ahead.

The participants of the tour also witnessed, Bhaskar Saikia, Library Assistant, highlight the various functions, and modern tools and techniques that are used in the central Library, RGU for the services of its users.
